A young, London-based digital artist and motion graphic designer, Dan Hoopert, caught our eyes with his out-of-the-box works, which we thought are definitely worth some space on our blog.
Dan specializes in 3D and has “strong interests in Typography, Branding, Motion Graphics, UI and Digital Art”. One of our favorites is the creatively done weather app he developed and designed called Low Poly Weather. Below are some snippets of the app:
The Low Poly Weather app is nothing flashy — in fact, the design is simple, without falling short of creativity. It’s a user-experience-centered app that gives access to weather information using an animated forecast. The display is interactive, brilliantly responding to tilts and pans, showcasing any single one of the 14 weather styles that work harmoniously with other 3-dimensional elements like the plants, houses, and trees. This app came out way back in 2013 but we can’t help but rave about its cute, minimalist and fun design!
