Psychedelnick
So, news has it this self-taught Aussie designer and film director, Nick Thomm, has been earning recognition from the Internet and beyond.
Straight out of high school, Nick started out by pioneering a clothing label with his own two hands. He joined the university for a degree in graphic design but eventually dropped out and started learning on his own. He has since developed his own style, taking inspiration from fashion and music. His main genre is psychedelic, with splashes and gradients of neon commonly visible on his works.
Nick believes making great art isn’t about looking at a particular artist and emulating what he does. He’s all for making a reflection of yourself through your art, so that when people see it they’ll know it’s yours even if it doesn’t have your name on it.
Aside from being a graphic artist and designer, Nick is also the founder of The Drop, an international service provider for Graphic Design, Web Design, Web Development, Print Design, and Publication. Well-known clients include Nike, Red Bull, and MTV.
Since 2012, Nick Thomm has been putting up solo shows and they’ve all been sold out.
